About the Workshop
“Listening to the plants requires that we understand with more than our minds, it requires that we listen with our hearts and this is where the healing begins.” In all cultures and traditions we have been using plant communication to heal ourselves and our communities, it is part of our heritage as good stewards of the earth. Not only do we receive the wisdom that the plants have to teach us about their medicine, we also learn how to receive their love and support which gives us a sense of connection and belonging to mother earth and this is where the healing happens. In this workshop we will use several techniques to develop our skills of listening, engaging all of our senses, showing up grounded centered and present. Understanding what we receive can be a more difficult process and it is here where we will use the collective power of the group to support us in trusting our somatic responses and the connections that we collectively and individually experience. Experiencing other than human communication can be a life changing and it is here where hearts begin to crack open as we learn another way to participate in the the mystery and magic of the universe. I am excited to be guiding you safely in this workshop which can become a lifelong practice of reciprocation between yourselves and ‘place’ so that you may always know your own way home. We will be working outside with a wild medicinal plant that is already in place on the grounds. We will be sitting, sketching and taking notes as well as using a flower essence. Please make sure you have everything you need to be comfortable and I will be available to answer any questions.
About Natasha:
Natasha Clarke is a herbalist, teacher, healer, artist, drum maker and story teller. She wears as many hats as the countries she has lived in and early on struggled with feeling lost and
disconnected. Deeply concerned about how humans stand in relationship with this earth, each other and ourselves she came home to herself facilitating healing practices that connect us to the beauty, abundance and love while living in reciprocation with our mother Earth. She gives thanks to friends, family, teachers, guides, allies and angels, all who have loved, supported and stood by while she has found her way through. Born and raised in England, Natasha started traveling young, a habit she continued in lieu of a university education. After many adventures collaborating in performance based Art Technology with Alexei Blinov (RayLab) and Steven Roberts (Nomadic Research Laboratories) amongst others, Natasha settled in Washington State, USA, where she became a herbalist studying under Mathew Wood and Scott Kloos (School of Forest Medicine,) running her own clinical practice as well as teaching Plant Spirit Wisdom at various herbal conferences including The Northwest Herbal symposium, The Pacific Women’s Herbal Conference, Good Medicine Confluence and the Green Gathering, which she co created and ran for 6 years. Always enthusing her love for the green folk she produced and was the voice of The Herb Hunter, a weekly radio show for KSER about her wildcrafting adventures, bringing the people to the plants and the plants to the people.
