The listening body
Tuesday June 28 • 15.15 – 16.45
STUDIO 20 & OUTDOORS
About the Workshop
A process of developing conversation with the field of self (human) and the environment through multi-sensory listening with the human and more than human worlds. Generating somatic archive through ‘documents of experience’ to be presented within an evolving live research installation. Working between studio and site specific investigation we will explore adaptive techniques based around observation, breath, rhythm and imprint. Workshop participants will be encouraged to notice sensorial information, residual tension and their own capacity to converse with the human and more than human worlds. The workshops will be offered on a daily basis and will facilitate the physical languaging of the shared knowledge practices accumulated throughout the conference.
I am an independent interdisciplinary artist and educator living and working in the South West of England.
The focus of my work is about opening to what is present specifically the reciprocity between body and place.
